Texas Forever Tails (“TFT”) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to reducing the euthanasia of adoptable dogs and decreasing the increasing number of strays, abandoned, and surrendered dogs in Texas.

In order for Texas Forever Tails to carry out their mission, we need help funding our Phase 1 budget to facilitate our mission. Funds are used strictly for the following purposes:

We will launch with a sustainable, scalable model in Unincorporated Trinity County, Texas—starting with a 100-dog capacity that will rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome over 300 dogs in the first year of operation with the goal of a 75% adoption rate. Our growth objective over the course of 5-years is to gradually increase our dog-capacity (25 dogs annually) and be at a 200-dog capacity by Year 5 that will rehome 1,000+ dogs annually. Our phased growth approach ensures financial stability, operational excellence, and the ability to grow into the largest dog-specific no-kill network in Texas after five years.
Our mission is to forever change the tails of Texas dogs through compassionate care, behavior rehabilitation, community education, and advocacy for stronger animal welfare laws. What sets us apart is our dual-space approach: a cage-free environment for socialized dogs, paired with a specialized rehabilitation program for dogs requiring behavioral intervention before integration with socialized dogs or adoption.
